Our mission is to celebrate, preserve, and promote the vibrant heritage of Lao culture. Through free weekly classes in literacy, traditional music, classical dance, and cultural education, we empower youth and adults to embrace their roots and strengthen their cultural identity. Led by passionate volunteers, our programs foster self-esteem, confidence, and pride among individuals and families. By showcasing the beauty and richness of Lao dance and music, we aim to cultivate awareness, understanding, and appreciation for the Lao American community, ensuring that Lao traditions continue to thrive across generations.
The Lao Community Cultural Center of Fresno (LCCCF) was established in 1997. We are located at the Lao Dhamma Sacca Temple in Fresno, California. LCCCF is a non-profit organization, 501(c)(3). We are funded through generous donations from LCCCF members, Dhamma Sacca Temple members, students, parents, and the community, as well as various fundraisers.
LCCCF sponsors various programs throughout the year, such as the Youth Education and Cultural Program, Family Bereavement/Support, Miss Lao Pageant, Kong Toum Cultural Group, and the Annual Lao New Year Celebration. Our main focus is the Youth Education/Cultural Program.
The success of our programs is thanks to the efforts of our amazing volunteers and generous donations from the community. Volunteers work tirelessly to maintain these programs. We hope to gain more support from the community through generous donations and by encouraging more volunteers to join us. We welcome and encourage you to come check out our program and facility.
